Emboss client seals deal at Walmart's annual Open Call event
Emboss client, ready-to-go cocktail brand YUMIX, was offered a multi-state distribution deal at Walmart's annual Open Call event.

Selling YUMIX in Walmart will give us access to consumers all over the United States, which is incredibly exciting!"
The Shark Tank-style product pitching event brought 450 entrepreneurs to Walmart headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas. YUMIX was one of two Dallas-based companies to secure deals.
“We are proud of the supplier success stories from prior years and look forward to helping more entrepreneurs realize the American dream," said Cindi Marsiglio, Walmart vice president for Merchandising Services and U.S. Manufacturing.
YUMIX was founded in Dallas, Texas by Garner, who, after years working in the consumer packaged goods industry, realized that freshly shaken, ready-to-go cocktails were not available in stores. Garner enlisted Phillip Page, former President and CFO of Daily Greens, as President and CFO, and Keith Rodgers, a Director in National Sales Distribution for The Coca Cola Company, as Vice President of Sales.
"The unique nature of the open call with Walmart has been enlightening," Rodgers said. "The way this company has embraced the entrepreneur, given the coaching and the expertise that the buyers within this company have, and then really, openly sharing that feedback with entrepreneurs, has been invaluable."
YUMIX is currently distributed in Texas and South Carolina. Through its deal with Walmart, the product will be available to buy in the retail giant's locations in California, Florida and Arizona.
"Our focus now will be to aggressively execute on a plan for the success of both YUMIX and Walmart," Page said.
